She is always the first to sample any food our talented chefs prepare and serve on the show. When not playing golf or involved in numerous community activities, Carol loves to entertain and eat out!
Tom Harty, New England Cooks Kitchen Host
Tom, a native Vermonter, is proud to be called a 'woodchuck', considering this term a compliment to the industrious and resourceful Vermonters who embody today the spirit of those who formed the republic of Vermont long before there was a United States. Tom has not decided what he wants to do when he grows up and has a long list of past 'careers'. He was: youngest firefighter in his hometown, youngest Vermont state trooper, one of the first emergency medical technicians in the state, skeleton sled pioneer—before it was an Olympic sport—and is an avid cook. In his real life, when not hosting New England Cooks, he served as Deputy Commissioner of Agriculture for Vermont, appointed by Governor Dean in 1999, working to open new markets for the state’s products. He lives in Randolph, Vermont, with his wife, Vicki, and two daughters, Colleen and Bridget, where he is active in the local theatre and church.

Ed brings his love of wine to work with him every day at Fine Wine Cellars, a retail wine shop he runs with his father in Stowe, Vermont. Thirteen years later, to be running a retail wine business is a dream come true for Ed. His obsession is making the enjoyment of wine fun for everyone, from novice to collector. Whether $10 a bottle or $100-plus, he loves to introduce his friends and customers to new and exciting wines. With his wife Laura, daughter Gabrielle and son William, Ed enjoys nothing more than cooking a great meal and sharing a bottle of wine with family and friends.

Harrison Lebowitz, New England Cooks Wine Consultant
After years of research, Harrison and his wife Molly started Snow Farm Vineyard, Vermont’s first commercial vineyard and grape winery, in 1996 as a way to keep land in Vermont open and working. Harrison received his B.A. from Franklin & Marshall College in 1980 with a major in Chemistry. He received his J.D. from the University of Baltimore Law School in 1984. In his three years of research into the feasibility of starting a vineyard in Vermont, Harrison consulted extensively with leading experts in cold climate growing of grapes, including those from Michigan State University, Southwest Michigan Research Center, New York State Agricultural Experiment Station (Cornell University Extension) and University of Minnesota, traveled to Minnesota at the invitation of the Minnesota Grape Growers Association, and studied at the University of California, Davis. Through his research, he met Patrick Barrelet, Snow Farm’s winemaker and vineyard manager. Patrick, an international award-winning winemaker, received his education in France, with a degree in viticulture from CFPPA de Beaune and a Diplome Technicien Oenolgue from the Universite de Dijon and studied under Michel Roucher-Sarrazin of Puligny-Montrachet, considered one of the top five winemakers in Burgundy. Harrison and Molly, a partner in the law firm of Dinse, Knapp and McAndrew, live with their two children, Tess and Jared, and their two semi-worthless dogs in South Hero.
